You know what... its true. But look at it from a deeper perspective... a man feels fulfilled when he can afford to lavish his wife. That is his nature. Besides, it is better for his ego and happiness to have a wife that beautifies herself for him.
And women are happy to beautify themselves for their husbands and to be found desireable.
